David R.
Kennedy is the Managing Partner at
Kennedy &
Berner, LLP. His practice focuses
on Criminal Defense, Family Law, Estate Planning, Taxation, including tax
controversies, Probate and Real Property
issues. He has handled hundreds of complex
cases involving large estates and family
business matters. In addition, he has argued
hundreds of criminal matters before district,
superior and federal courts. David is a former
police officer and former member of the
Washington Association of
Criminal Defense Lawyers Board of
Governors.
CLIENT
WORK
David is a
busy litigator representing clients in both
Civil and Criminal matters throughout King and
Snohomish counties. His general litigation
practice involves handling matters including but
not limited to Criminal Defense, including
misdemeanors and felonies, Family Law, Wills,
Trusts, Probate and Real Property matters.
David is respected by his peers and members of
the Court for his untiring work ethic and
zealous representation of his clients.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
David is a
past participant in the King County Family Law
Mentor program that helps less fortunate
families with their legal problems. He is a
past member of the Washington Association of
Criminal Defense Lawyers Board of Governors and
was the Founder of the Domestic Violence
Attorney’s Association. In 2003, David was
voted a "Rising Star" of "Washington
Law by Washington Law & Politics"
magazine.

David is a
proud husband and father of three and enjoys
spending his off time helping with his
children’s sports and extracurricular
activities. He is also a hockey nut, both as a
player in the “brittle bones” league and as a
fan of the
NHL and mites
