Mediation

Mediation is a voluntary process where the parties attempt to negotiate a settlement to a dispute.  It can be accomplished with the help of a professional mediator who listens independently to both sides and will help the parties come to an agreement.  Unless stipulated to, mediation is not binding and does not prevent the parties from continuing to litigate their issues.  Mediation can be very cost effective in comparison to prolonged litigation and trial.  Please ask about this alternative to litigation and how Kennedy & Berner, LLP may be able to make mediation work for you.
